This review is from: Brunswick Slingshot Silver/Black (Misc.) This is a great bowling ball for beginners and intermediate players. I needed something better than a house ball for the league so I bought this ball. It has a gradual but consistent hook, which is good for my level. It cost me around 70 bucks on Amazon, where all the bowling pro shops around here wanted ~110 bucks. So a great deal for a great ball. Note that the special core only comes with the 13,14,15, and 16 lb. balls, if you buy 12 lb. ball or below the core is different from what is shown on the Brunswick website. This is my first ball and I am happy with its performance so far. The problem that I have is that I threw house balls at 14 so I ordered this ball at 14. Big mistake. The ball doesn't carry through the pins the way it should when thrown for a curve because it is so light. To make the ball carry I have to throw it harder which erases a large part of the curve. Make sure you get the right weight or you will have trouble with this ball. Otherwise I really like the ball. |
